It makes me very sad when I come across someone who doesn’t recognise their true value. They don’t recognise how precious they really are, yet its blatantly obvious to me there is something so special about them, something so unique. If only they could see that in themselves.
I’m fascinated by those diagrams and videos on the internet showing the growth of a baby in its mothers’ womb, from conception to birth. When my sister in law was pregnant with my nephew, we continuously studied those diagrams. Week by week, month by month, we devotedly researched his growth and development. At week 9 we read he could have hiccups, at week 13 all of his internal organs were formed. And it continued until the day I was so blessed and honoured to watch his perfectly formed tiny body enter this world. He is now 3 years old and he still amazes me every time I see him. He is super precious!
At one point in time, either long ago or more recently, every one of us were once in our mothers’ wombs forming and growing. God says that every single one of us is super precious (Isaiah 43:4). Unfortunately, some of us chose to believe the false perceptions we have built of ourselves or the false words that people have spoken over us. We are so precious that God took the time to personally form every individual part of us. He delicately knitted together each fibre, muscle, bone, every intricate part of you in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139: 13). You are so precious, you are priceless. Believe it and breathe it in.
Those negative things you think about yourself are not what define you. Those words spoken over you, they are lies. You are not a mistake, God doesn’t make mistakes. Everything He does is perfect. You are super priceless. You are beautiful, intelligent, significant, and unique.
Come on, today, choose to believe the truth and not the lie that is obscuring you from recognising your true value. Hold your head up high, straighten your crown and remember just how precious you are. You are truly amazing.
